2017 Annual General Meeting

This year’s AGM will be held on 19th October 2017, right after our monthly potluck, on the 18th floor of the Catholic Centre.

CWL members will receive the AGM package 21 days prior to the meeting.

Nomination forms can be collected from the CWL office.

Please submit all forms to the CWL office by 16th October 2017.

We require your nominations for 15 committee members, including the 4 officers - President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer.

We look forward to your nominations and support to the League, and to seeing you at the AGM.

CWL Annual Raffle Draw held on June 15th, 2017

The annual CWL Raffle Draw was held on June 15th, 2017 at the Diocesan Pastoral Centre, 16 Caine Road. About 30 members along with our spiritual director Fr John Russell S J were present at the event. The raffle helps CWL raise valuable funds for its charity projects. For eight weeks beginning April 22nd, members sold tickets at Saturday and Sunday masses across various poarishes. After the draw, members proceeded to the Caritas restaurant for a fellowship.

CWL celebrates Father Russell’s 90th birthday

On 18 August  2016, CWL celebrated the 90th birthday of  Fr Russell, our spiritual director, and his completion of 25 years at the organization. The day began with a Thanksgiving Mass at the Catholic Centre followed by lunch at a nearby club. It was a day of prayer, celebration and a lot of fun. (For more details read page 2 and 3 of our September Newsletter)

Pilgrimage to Macau

On Tuesday, 16 February 2016, 15 CWL members went to Macau on a pilgrimage to visit four holy sites that have rich historical significance. They visited St Lawrence Church, St Joseph’s Seminary and Church, the Ruins of St Paul and the Cathedral of Macau. They were led by Sister Margaret from Macau on this trip. Mass at 10:30 am: Celebrated by Fr. Russell, our Spiritual Director

Holy Hour at 11 am: Adoration, prayers, hymns and the Holy Rosary

CWL Online Mothers’ Prayer Group:
Mothers and Grandmothers are invited to pray together every Thursday morning.
An online prayer will be sent out to all participating mothers and grandmothers to offer a silent prayer for our children and grandchildren.
Our CWL members also pray for the children and grandchildren of this group during the CWL Holy Hour.
